The process by which world, previously isolated through distance and physical, becomes increasingly interconnected. It occurred by the increase in interaction between peoples around the world that involves the sharing of ideas, cultures, goods, service and investment. A globalized world is one in which political, economic, cultural, and social events becomes interconnected in every distance. As such, Dimapur being the largest city and municipality in the Indian state of Nagaland, impacted adversely by the process of globalization and with the establishment of Railway Station in 1990s and airport built during the World War II, many new development, companies and advanced technology started to flow in continuously. Trough this globalization the culture, ideas, education and advanced technology from every cornor of the world are prevalent and vague in Dimapur district of Nagalan

Festivals of Nagaland

Cultural life in Nagaland is one long festival. The State is replete with festivities throughout the year, as all tribes  celebrate their own festivals with a pageantry of colors, music and dance.  A common features is that the festivals revolve around agriculture, the main stay of Naga economy. These festivals date back to times prior to the advent of Christianity. The predominant theme of the festivals is offering prayer to the Supreme Being .  All the tribes have its distinct cultural traditions and customs, through various forms of performing arts. Each tribal community can be distinguished by the colorful and intricately designed costumes, jewelers and beads that its members wear. Most festivals begin as a propitiation of the spirits, involving abstinence for purification of self, the house and the village.
